The process forces them to develop relationships, gather insights, and understand the realities of innovation beyond theory.
“The next generation of space leaders, they need more than technical experience,” Pollard says. “They need that ability to navigate ambiguity and build those relationships.” As the boundaries between government, industry, academia, and entrepreneurship continue to blur, the most effective leaders will be those who can bridge silos, communicate across disciplines, and adapt quickly to change.
